The Heart of Texas Historical Museum is located in the Old McCulloch County Jail, in Brady, Texas. The jail was built in 1910, and is a three story red brick Richardson Romanesque structure. The structure was added to the National Register of Historic places in 1975, and designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark in 1976. The museum houses many artifacts from Brady and McCulloch county, and memorabilia from the Sheriffs who lived there.
